What about Shopify’s official MCP?

For model choice, Claude Sonnet (the default mid-range model) works great and is what we use ourselves day-to-day. You don’t need Opus. ShopMCP tools are efficient with tokens, so even lighter models handle most store tasks comfortably. If you’re doing heavy bulk work you can upgrade, but most merchants never need to.
